Attorney John J. Hickey, Jr. draws on years of experience as an attorney, insurance representative and educator whenever he is serving the needs of his clients. His goal is to provide his clients with the best result possible. Attorney Hickey brings to the table a level of knowledge gained not only by years in the practice of law but also by experiences in his private life as a husband, father, tax payer and citizen. John is a “sole” practitioner in the true sense of the word. He is dedicated to providing each of his clients with a high level of individualized and personal attention.

John J. Hickey, Jr. was born in Framingham in 1964. He graduated from Marian High School located in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1982 and graduated with Honors (Cum Laude) from Suffolk University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government.

John's academic achievements were recognized by Suffolk University's Government Department for academic years 1984 - 1985 and 1985 – 1986. Suffolk University's Delta Alpha Pi society honored John in 1986 for his achievements as a student of government studies. Following graduation in 1986, John taught American History at the Sacred Heart High School located in Kingston, Massachusetts.

John entered Suffolk University Law School following a year of teaching. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School's Evening Division Cum Laude in 1992. During law school, he worked in the underwriting and claims departments of Amica Mutual Insurance Company located in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Following graduation from law school, John passed the Massachusetts Bar Examination on his first attempt. Attorney Hickey became a member of the Massachusetts Bar on December 15, 1992. John began his practice of law as an associate for a Weymouth, Massachusetts general practice law firm in the autumn of 1992. He worked for that firm from September 1992 to April 1999 when he set out to establish a solo practice. Attorney Hickey opened the Law Office of John J. Hickey, Jr. located in Franklin, Massachusetts in April of 1999, a general practice of law with emphasis in Personal Injury Law, Criminal Defense, Real Estate Transactions, Wills, Trusts and Estates. On February 1, 2005, John merged his firm with the long established Franklin law office of Cornetta, Ficco, Simmler & Vallee, LLP. In December 2006, John returned to solo practice and re-opened the Law Office of John J. Hickey, Jr.

John continues to give personal and effective service to his clients. He resides in Franklin with his wife, Robyn, and his son, Sean.
